Pan Macmillan titles longlisted for IMPAC Award

Room receives greatest number of nominations from libraries
Four Pan Macmillan titles have been longlisted for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award 2012.

Furthermore Emma Donoghue’s Room received the greatest number of nominations from libraries worldwide for the 2012 award with 20 nominations; making Room one of the most nominated titles in the seventeen years since the Award began in 1996. Emma's novel was nominated by libraries in Ireland, England, France, Maldives, Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Canada.

Kraken by China Miéville, Heartstone by C. J. Sansom and Point Omega by Don DeLillo have also been longlisted for the award.

The judges will now select a shortlist, which will be made public on 12th April 2012, and the winner of the award to be announced on 13 June 2012.
