My secret to happiness by Lucy Diamond and friends

To celebrate publication of The Secrets of Happiness by Lucy Diamond, we asked some of our favourite vloggers and authors, including, Jill Mansell, Veronica Henry and Lucy Diamond herself, "What makes you happy?".

Is it love? Family? Chocolate? Or the chance to curl up with a great book and zero interruptions?

To celebrate publication of The Secrets of Happiness by Lucy Diamond, we asked four vloggers ‘What makes you happy?’

We also asked a few of our favourite authors, including Lucy Diamond herself, to tell us theirs:

"Being with people I love (and none of them bickering), a long dog-walk on a sunny day, the smell of a cake baking in the oven, singing along at the top of my voice to a good song in the car. And opening a new pot of moisturiser! "

Lucy Diamond

"My secret of happiness is owning enough of my favourite perfume not to feel the need to be economical with it. Also, a comfortable bra.  Ooh, and a really thick and luxurious mattress topper so it's like sleeping on a cloud"

Jill Mansell

"Getting plenty of exercise outside, which not only lifts the spirits, energises and lets the brain filter lots of ideas, but means you've earned lots of delicious food and drink"

Lulu Taylor

"My secret of happiness is always having a brand new pair of pristine opaque tights in the drawer"

Lucy Dillon

"A devoted dog, a digital radio and an excellent wine cellar (rack). And a room with a view, always"

Veronica Henry

"My secret of happiness is a lie-in followed by an addictive DVD boxed set, Lindt chocolate and a huge mug of tea"

C.L. Taylor

"For me it's being outside, with the smell of the earth and the sound of the birds. Every day, whatever the weather, always"

Lucy Robinson

"Wide open spaces, moments of solitude, and good coffee"

Emylia Hall

An extraordinary tale of love and sisterhood, from the author of The Beach Cafe.

The two of them have lost touch, but when Rachel doesn't come home one night, Becca is called in to help. As Becca begins to untangle Rachel's secrets, she is forced to confront some uncomfortable truths and the future seems uncertain.
