Synopsis

Zoe and Beans have found a ladybird! But where has it gone? It's nowhere to be found in the garden, but they do discover all kinds of other things whilst they're looking. A classic hide-and-seek story -- can you spot the ladybird on every page?

Another title in the brilliant series of board books featuring the adorable Zoe and Beans and all of their friends. With its gentle text and irresistible illustrations, this book is perfect for sharing with toddlers and young children.

Look out for the other board books in the series: LOOK AT ME!, WE'RE NOT SCARED and HOW MANY PETS?

In the media

As with all of the other books in this series, the illustrations and story are really simple and engaging for young children and I have really enjoyed sitting down with Little Miss A and looking at the books.

When we received a parcel from Macmillan at the weekend and I showed LM the contents she got very excited! She instantly recognised her favourites and started laughing and clapping. I really wish I'd videoed her reaction to share with you, I suspect she is Zoe and Beans' number one fan. . . Both books are short and are definitely aimed at young toddlers, I would say from around age one to three. Bud isn't as interested in them as his sister but he loves how excited she gets with them and is also happy to show them to her, or she will look at them on her own too. I really enjoy that LM recognises the characters and books now and that she shows a clear preference.

Hello Ladybird! lends itself to the board book format; it's a simple little story with marvellous illustrations of Zoe, Beans and the hodgepodge of treasures they collect in effort to find the runaway ladybird. . . Finally, she spots the elusive ladybird on Beans' nose and in a lovely sequence it alights from her finger, opens its wings and flies away...a perfect ending.
