Peter Ridsdale

Peter Ridsdale, a renowned businessman, is one of football's most colourful and controversial characters. Born and bred in Yorkshire, he was the ardent Leeds United supporter who became a non-executive director at the club from 1992 to 1997, after which he took the helm as chairman – a tenure that lasted five years until his resignation in 2003.

In those five unforgettable years under his stewardship, Leeds reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in 1999–2000, and then the Champions League in 2000–1, and never finished lower than fifth in the FA Premiership League.

Peter is currently the chairman of Championship side Cardiff City, but still lives in northern England with his family.
