After an English degree at Cambridge, Rosemary Ingham taught in various parts of England, from London to Yorkshire. Her experience in grammar schools has made her a passionate advocate of comprehensive education. Despite eight years away from the classroom when her three children were young, she ended up as Head of a comprehensive school. She finds adolescents fascinating and loved working with them but it wasnt until she gave up the day job and settled in Sussex that she began writing novels.
