Tom Percival grew up in a remote and beautiful part of South Shropshire. On reflection this seemed rather more remote than beautiful, owing to the fact that he lived in a small caravan without electricity, mains water or any sensible form of heating. He thinks that he's probably one of the few people in his peer group to have learned to read by gas lamp. "
"An established picture-book author and illustrator, his books for younger readers include A Home for Mr Tipps and Jack's Amazing Shadow. Tom has made his first foray into the world of writing chapter books with the Little Legends series for Macmillan Children's Books, beginning with The Spell Thief.

So, Today is PUBLICATION DAY for the final Little Legends book, The Story Tree.
It's been great fun working on this series—creating new interpretations of the characters, the world that they live in, Tale Town, the whole plot arc and of course Betsy, who hopped onto the first page as a throw away joke about a talking hen who could only say one word and then decided that she was staying put and hung around for the whole series!
So to celebrate I thought that incase any of you were wondering how many pictures there are in the whole series, I'd show you! Happy viewing!
I decided that I wanted to get some work drawing covers for middle grade fiction books, but I don't have any examples of that sort of thing in my portfolio. So I decided to make some covers for imaginary books. The trouble is that having made these covers I now want to write ALL of these books...
