Tom Franklin's stunning literary crime novel won the prestigious CWA Gold Dagger in 2011. The judges hailed it as "a poignant suspense novel drenched in the languid atmosphere of small-town Mississippi where police investigate the murder of a local teenage girl." Tom's novel beat three other fantastic shortlisted books to win.
