In conversation: Mark Haddon and Paul Farley
Mark Haddon's poetry collection The Talking Horse and the Sad Girl and the Village Under the Sea is published by Picador, and I couldn't resist posting this gem of an interview from the Guardian last year. Mark Haddon talks to Picador poet Paul Farley.
‘They're like Cornell boxes, these little works with traces of people in them, the things that are left behind and abandoned, things that have the patina of people.’
Enjoyable and, I think, hugely revealing about Paul's practice, this is a fascinating piece for anyone interested in reading or writing poetry.
Paul Farley's most recent collection is Tramp in Flames.
