Friday Poem: 'New Every Morning'

05 January 2018

By

A Friday Poem for the start of the year by Susan Coolidge.

Every day is a fresh beginning,
Listen my soul to the glad refrain.
And, spite of old sorrows
And older sinning,
Troubles forecasted
And possible pain,
Take heart with the day and begin again.

Poem appears in A Poem for Every Night of the Year, edited by Allie Esiri.
