Design Week ran a story this week on the humble bookmark. There is still life in the concept yet, as Fallon’s head of design Pete Lewis and its creative account planner Joe Hedinger showed in the Design Week piece - coming up with 'Project Dog Ear'. This catchy moniker stands for a long thin mini-magazine, printed and folded to create ten sides. Even better, you can make submissions as to content through the website They say that when thirty have been received, the top ten are printed ... so get scribbling! But ... can you imagine something like this for the eBook? An app giving us fun content to distract us from surfing the net while we read (!) might be interesting. Or would such a thing slap a slew of advertising some day soon into our reading experience?!
