On Monday night the Jubilee Library in Brighton was host to a very special joint event -- between bestselling crime novelist Peter James and bright new talent Seth Patrick, author of Reviver.

The genesis for Reviver actually came out of a creative writing course taught by Peter James, back in the days when he was better known for his horror writing. James had asked his class to write the opening few paragraphs of a novel, and was so impressed by what Seth had written that he urged him to continue. Seven years later Reviver was completed and Seth had a three-book deal and a film deal in the bag!

The pair were reunited as part of a National Crime Writing Month event in Brighton. There they delighted and terrified an audience of 70, which included an A-level creative writing group, with readings and signings of their new books.
