The Walking Dead Series 2 - now on TV!
29 February 2012
By Isolde Roche
The eagerly awaited continuation of THE WALKING DEAD series season 2 returned to our shores on Friday the 17th of February, starring our very own Andrew Lincoln (loved his work in Teachers). As you all know we are the proud UK publishers of the novelisations, which are based on the bestselling comic that also inspired the TV series. The last book, THE WALKING DEAD: RISE OF THE GOVERNOR received a rapturous reception both at Tor Towers and amongst readers far and wide. In the course of publishing the book I happily attended a Zombie Science lecture where I learnt how to survive the Zombie Apocalypse (it involved beating said zombie's head as if it were a cauliflower…) and learnt how to ‘act like a zombie’ with a helpful online tutorial I spotted whilst researching. Oh how we laughed in the office! I’m hoping to have as much fun marketing the next Walking Dead book, coming out in October 2012, just in time for All Hallow’s Eve. So get ready to get your Zombie on!
Here’s some reviews of the novel itself, THE WALKING DEAD: RISE OF THE GOVERNOR . . .
‘The novel makes for an exciting, grippingly intense and at times gruesome one-off read’
‘The novel hooked me from the first page . . . begs to be read’
‘Makes for visceral, bloody and downright brutal reading that I just couldn’t put down . . . I cannot wait for the next book’
Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review blog
‘A perfect introduction . . . and a great service to all those folks who've walked with these zombies before’
