Most people resemble zombies at the *end* of a night of drinking. However, this Saturday, the opposite will be the case. To celebrate World Zombie Day an exclusive zombie pub crawl is taking place around the fair city of London. The route is top secret but can be found out by liking the World Zombie Day Facebook page. It's free to take part, all you have to do is turn up on the day and wear your grimmest zombie garb. There is an optional donation of £2 at the final pub which will be going to this years chosen charity St Mungos. The event will culminate in a midnight screening of Britain's finest zombie flick Shaun of the Dead at a Leicester Square cinema. But zombie action doesn't end on Saturday . . .
Tor UK currently has two zombie-related reads rising from the dead (ahem) - the latest Walking Dead novel The Road to Woodbury is out this month. And Alden Bell's eagerly awaited Exit Kingdom has just been published. In The Walking Dead: The Road to Woodbury we learn that sometimes it's not the dead you need to fear most, it's the living, as Lily seeks protection in the gated community of Woodbury. In Exit Kingdom, Alden Bell brings us a standalone novel set in the same world as his much lauded Reapers are the Angels.
This Friday we are running a Twitter competition on @UKTor to win five copies of both The Walking Dead: The Road to Woodbury and Exit Kingdom. Simply tweet your favourite horror related song to @UKTor using the hashtag #worldzombieday. We might even make a playlist of the tunes for your listening pleasure!
