UNLOCKING THE HEALTHCARE DEBATE: RECONCILING DIFFERENT TRUTHS
We all want to live longer, healthier lives. We all want a better health system. Who can disagree with that?
But despite those truths the complexity and cost of delivering great healthcare presents the real threat that improvements cannot be achieved.
A new film This Is Axiom, produced by global biopharmaceutical company Celgene, brings different perspectives to the debate about the future of healthcare. Discussing the film and the issues it raises are doctor turned comedian and author Adam Kay, former Health Minister Paul Burstow, Piarealla Peralta who campaigns on behalf of cancer patients and Michael Zaiac, Celgene VP for Medical affairs.
Chairing what promises to be a lively and thought-provoking discussion is New Scientist editor-at large Jeremy Webb.
