Prize-winning author Alan Hollinghurst discusses his long-awaited sixth novel with Dr Allan Johnson. An exploration of shifting tastes, attitudes and private life, set in 20th century Britain, it evokes the intimate lives of three generations of Sparsholts in a sequence of vivid episodes. Wonderfully witty, tender and richly observed. "
"His previous books include The Strangers Child and The Line of Beauty for which he won the 2004 Man Booker Prize.
