Brian Blessed at Althorp Literary Festival

There is no one quite like Brian Blessed. One of this country's best known and most highly respected actors, he is also a trained undertaker, secret romantic, martial artist and mountaineer. Trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, his role as PC 'Fancy' Smith in Z Cars found him fame, since which he has enjoyed a distinguished and varied career encompassing television, film and theatre. Brian Blessed grew up in Goldthorpe, Yorkshire, and trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His television appearances include ZCars, Boy Dominic, I, Claudius, Cold Comfort Farm, The Little World of Don Camillo, Blackadder, My Family and Other Animals, The History of Tom Jones and Peppa Pig.
