Join novelist and poet Garth Greenwell to explore how vivid, descriptive writing can develop character, plot and theme. Greenwell leads a discussion on passages from Iris Murdoch, Elizabeth Bishop, James Renard Allen, Paul Harding and Proust, interspersed with writing exercises that explore techniques for bringing your setting to life. Open to both poets and prose writers at any level.
