'An astonishing debut novel...' Daily Telegraph. American author Garth Greenwell discusses the themes of his much lauded debut novel with Poet in Residence, Andrew McMillan. Lyrical and intense, What Belongs to You tells the story of an American expat struggling with his own complicated inheritance while navigating a foreign culture. Together Greenwell and McMillan consider 'a gay man's endeavour to fathom his own heart'.

Garth Greenwell is a graduate of the University of Iowa Writer's Workshop, where he was an Arts Fellow. His novella Mitko won the Miami University Press Novella Prize and was a finalist for the Edmund White Award for Debut Fiction and a Lambda Literary Award. His novel What Belongs to You has been widely acclaimed on both sides of the Atlantic.
