Hughes explains which products are really worth the hype, which do the job and which ones are overblown. She looks at classics such as Chanel No 5, the oldies such as Johnson's Baby Lotion and the modern game-changers such as M A C's Ruby Woo.
Hughes has more than 15 years' experience as one of the UK's leading beauty broadcasters and journalists and is also author of Pretty Honest. She has a large and loyal following as Guardian Weekend's beauty columnist and makes regular television and radio appearances including on BBC Radio 5 Live, Radio 4's Woman's Hour and Radio 2. She has experience as a makeup artist to George Michael, the Pet Shop Boys and Belinda Carlisle.
