Genki Kawamura at Cheltenham Festival of Literature

On a special UK visit, Cheltenham Literature Festival welcome Japanese writer, film producer and Fujimoto Prize-winner Genki Kawamura. Regarded as a leading light among JapanÕs younger generation of creatives, his novel Sekai kara neko ga kieta nara (If Cats Disappeared from the World) Ð published for the first time in the UK this September by Picador Ð has sold over a million copies in Japan and his film Your Name has become the highest grossing anime film of all time. He discusses his remarkable body of work to date. Chaired by Junko Takekawa of the Japan Foundation.
