Hyyge (hoo-ga), the Danish concept of cosiness and comfortable conviviality, has become a sensation in the UK. In search of the secret ingredients that have made Denmark the worlds happiest country, people everywhere have been lighting candles, wrapping up warm in shearling slippers and thick blankets, and reconnecting with loved ones over games, food and music.
London Book & Screen Week is collaborating with Waterstones Piccadilly to put on an evening of Scandi crime, followed by a discussion panel with Hygge experts Bronte Aurell (The Scandi Kitchen), Signe Johansen (How to Hygge), Trine Hahnemann (Scandinavian Comfort Food) and Louisa Thomsen Brits (The Book of Hygge
), to help us all embrace living a bit more Danishly. Expect a cosy evening in celebration of all things Hygge, with light refreshments provided.
Tickets cost £5 and are available online, by email [email protected] or by telephone 020 7851 2400
