YA Reception with C.J. Flood, Clare Furniss and Sara Barnard.
Celebrate established teen writing as well as being at the forefront of new fiction with our first YA Reception in Bristol, featuring bestselling authors C.J. Flood, Clare Furniss and Sara Barnard. These talented authors will be discussing their writing, key teen issues and the importance of YA fiction. Sara Barnard has been writing ever since she was too small to reach the 'on' switch on the family Amstrad computer. Her powerful first YA novel, Beautiful Broken Things explores the course of friendship and recovery, and the necessity for a little bit of trouble!
The evening will start with a short introduction and reading by each writer followed by the opportunity to ask these authors any burning questions about YA and writing in general as well as the chance to meet and mingle with like-minded people.
