Spinster Sunday with Holly Bourne, Sara Barnard & Non Pratt

Here we go…this February, forget Valentines Day because we’re celebrating all things Friendship and Feminism in our spectacular SPINSTER SUNDAY mini-festival!

After the success of our middle-grade festival day, A Midsummer Mystery, we are bringing another exciting day of themed author events to St. Annes. One week before Valentine’s Day we’re inviting teens (and their parents!) to an afternoon of events that celebrate friendship, feminism and frankly brilliant books. Our empowering afternoon is sure to pass the Bechdel test with a fantastic line-up of current teen/YA authors and a varied programme of activities including:

  • Authors events
  • Panel discussion and interviews
  • Mini TED-style talks on feminism topics
  • Girl power games, a team quiz and Spinster bingo
  • Book-signings and hang-outs

About Sara Barnard

Sara Barnard lives in Brighton and does all her best writing on trains. She loves books, book people and book things. She has been writing ever since she was too small to reach the 'on' switch on the family Amstrad computer. She gets her love of words from her dad, who made sure she always had books to read and introduced her to the wonders of second-hand book shops at a young age. She is the author of Beautiful Broken Things.
