Wimpole History Festival - Natalie Haynes

Join BBC R4 star Natalie Haynes who, to coincide with her latest novel The Children of Jocasta, takes us on a hilarious romp through the earliest Greek Tragedies and Comedies. With her unique combination of stand-up comedy and scholarly heft she will bring the Classics to life – from the first performance by Thespis to the raucous sex strike of Aristophanes’ Lysistrata, via the great tragedies of Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides. Ancient history has never been so much fun.
