Do you enjoy making YouTube videos and love reading books? If you’re a passionate, creative person who loves coming up with new ideas and using social media – then Pan Macmillan’s Book Break needs you!
This role, within Pan Macmillan’s Digital Communications team, is responsible for creating fun, vibrant and engaging video content for our Book Break YouTube channel, from start to finish. You’ll look after the day-to-day and help to grow and develop our channel audience.
We are: Winner of the Publisher of the Year two years out of three; creative, independent, collaborative and results oriented. A dynamic digital team that work across all of our books.
You are: An experienced video creator, who likes digging into the analytics, to get the best results. Someone with a good knowledge of video production and editing techniques and most importantly you have a real passion for books.
Do you want to be the face of our Book Break channel?
You’ll need to:
Conceptualize, plan and produce digital content across Pan Macmillan YouTube and video channels
Drive engagement and build subscribers to our YouTube channel
Manage the Book Break social channels
You will have:
Passion for digital video AND books
Demonstrable experience of video production and using editing software on a regular basis
Strong understanding of the YouTube community
Deep understanding of managing channel admin, playlist management, uploading content
Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines, and utilizing a variety of production styles (across Fiction, Non-fiction and Children’s publishing)
Creative flair for shareable content and ability to recognise opportunities for reactive content
The position is based at our offices in King’s Cross, London.
This role is for a fixed term of 12 months.
