Pan Macmillan, the Publisher of the Year 2015/2017 and one of the largest general book publishers in the UK, is looking for an Administrator to join our growing Insight and Data team in the London office. 

 

This role is ideal for someone that is naturally organised and detail oriented who also enjoys working with numbers and data.  You will probably have experience with data entry, databases or in administration and be interested in business strategy.

 

Day to day you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the data required for our business analytics. You will also be updating and distributing business reporting and Tableau dashboards as well as supporting their use around the company.

 

The ideal candidates will have the following skills:

 

  • Proficient with data and a knowledge of databases

  • Focus on accuracy with outstanding attention to detail

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

  • Plan and manage time to meet deadlines

  • The ability to proactively pick up new systems and functions

  • Strong numerical and IT skills

  • Experience of creating documentation such as release notes, process documentation and user help guides

  • Maths A-level or IT/ICT qualification

 

It will be beneficial (but not essential) to have experience with:

 

  • Data management and data quality control

  • Experience of data entry

  • Database management

  • SQL, SSIS packages and structured data e.g. ONIX and XML

  • 1-2 years in a similar role

  • A love of books is an advantage
