Macmillan Children’s Books is looking to recruit a Publicity Assistant to join our dynamic and successful Communications team. Reporting to the Communications Director, the Assistant will provide support in a wide variety of areas for our busy children’s communications team, as well owning their own projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and efficient individual looking to start a career in children’s publishing.  

 

The successful candidate will have the amazing opportunity of working with some of today’s bestselling and award-winning authors and illustrators, including: Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, Rod Campbell, Emily Gravett, Lydia Monks, Chris Riddell and Frank Cottrell-Boyce. Known for our quality of content, illustration and design, Macmillan Children’s Books is an energetic and dynamic team publishing the best children’s books for the international marketplace. The role offers a brilliant foundation for learning about all aspects of the publishing process.

 

You will have excellent organisational and inter-personal skills, be able to use your initiative and be able to juggle and prioritise a lot of tasks at one time. This role is an integral part of the team and a keen desire to deliver what is needed in good time and with accuracy is essential. You will be calm, approachable and able to work efficiently under pressure. A passion for publishing is essential.

 

The position is based at our offices in King’s Cross, London.
