Production Controller, Fixed Term 6 months

Campbell is an imprint of MCB and it is a specialist maker of books for babies and toddlers full of novelties and educational content.
You will be running production of a large variety of novelty books and also be responsible for co-editions and back list reprints. You will work on titles from the very beginning with the creative and sales teams, involved in choosing suppliers, negotiating prices and schedules in order to guarantee products are delivered on time, budges and to the highest standards.
The successful person will extremely organized with excellent time management and communication skills. You will have at least two years’ experience in novelty books, have an excellent understanding of print and manufacturing processes, the ability to check files on Apple Mac, including InDesign. Knowledge of the European toy safety legislation and Biblio 3 would be highly desirable too.
Manage the production, from conception to delivery, of an extensive list of
children’s novelty books
Manage project costing and scheduling, negotiating competitive prices with
Check files on InDesign/ Adobe before supplying them to repro and printers
Co-ordinate shipping and delivery requirements
Significant work experience with colour repro, print and novelty books
Very well organized with excellent attention to details
Calm and have the ability to work under pressure with a positive approach to
Knowledge of the European Safety Legislation would be a bonus
Experience using Biblio 3 is desirable
The position is for a fixed term of 6 months and is based at our offices in King’s Cross, London.
