Keyword:
Use the keyword field to effectively search for an important word or grouping of words with a book title, or description.

Title:
Use the title field to search for a book’s title. You can also use partial titles, for example, entering ‘astron’ into this field would return books about both Astronomy and Gastronomy.

Author/Illustrator/Reader First Name:
Use this field to search for either an author, illustrator or audio-book reader by their first name.

Author/Illustrator/Reader Last Name:
Use this field to search for either an author, illustrator or audio-book reader by their last name.

Author/ Illustrator/ Reader Type:
this allows you to specify whether the keyword, name or title you are searching for relates to an author, illustrator or reader.

Age Range for Children’s Books:
If you are searching for children’s titles, you may select which age group is relevant to your search here.

ISBN/EAN/MAB:
If you know the catalogue codes associated with a title, you can enter those into this field. This field will also accept partial catalogue codes.

Category:
You can narrow your search results by selecting an appropriate category from the dropdown selection.

Published Date Range:
Using the dropdown, you can select the date ranges in which you think the title you are looking for resides.

Product Form:
From the dropdown, you can select the type of product you are looking for, for example Hardback or Audio Cassette.

Complex searches
When using advanced search, you are not limited to using one field. You can enter a combination of information from any search field to make your search results more precise.
