About Julia Donaldson

Julia Donaldson, recently appointed as the Children's Laureate, is the outrageously talented, prize-winning author of the world's most-loved children's books, most notably the modern classic The Gruffalo, which has sold over 5 million copies worldwide. She has also written the young fiction series PRINCESS MIRROR-BELLE, illustrates by Lydia Monks.

Julia also writes fiction as well as poems, plays and songs -- and her brilliant live shows are always in demand. She lives in Glasgow with her husband, Malcolm, and their family.
