Glen Dimplex New Writers Awards

Annie Freud's collection The Best Man That Ever Was has won the poetry category of the Glen Dimplex New Writers Awards (in associaton with the Irish Writers' Centre). The award was announced at a gala awards ceremony in Dublin on Monday 26th November,  at which fellow Picador author Colm Toibin  was Master of Ceremonies. 
 
As a category winner Annie received a cheque for  €5,000.
