Heidi Colleran

Heidi Colleran is Lise Meitner Professor at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig. From 2016–19, she led the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History in Jena’s interdisciplinary field-project in Vanuatu, involving geneticists, archaeologists, linguists, psychologists and political scientists. She now leads the BirthRites Independent Research Group, where her team unites anthropologists, computational and population scientists to work on the relationship between reproductive behaviour, culture and population dynamics. The Facts of Life is her first book.
