Phoebe Jourdan

Jacci Jourdan had an eclectic career that took her from a job as a Bluecoat at Pontins in Dorset to working as a scuba diver feeding fish at Weymouth Sealife Centre. She later became manager of Portsmouth Sea Life Centre before setting up her own company, The Tall Ships People, placing holiday makers on tall ship excursions around the world.

In 2011, following the closure of her husband Ed’s business, Jacci persuaded the Jourdan family to move to the Lizard Peninsula where they started the Fat Apples Café and campsite on the site of a derelict vineyard. Before Jacci passed away in 2026 she wrote a manuscript detailing the family's adventures.

Phoebe Jourdan, Jacci's daughter, runs Fat Apples Café with her brother Hector and father Ed. When not in the café she can be found gardening, having completed a BSc in Horticulture and Plant Science at The Eden Project. Phoebe, like Jacci, has always loved writing and finishes the manuscript, wanting to help her mum fulfil her dream of becoming a published author.
