Four Pan Macmillan audiobooks shortlisted at The British Audio Awards
Pan Macmillan has received four nominations in the Audiobook of the Year categories at the inaugural British Audio Awards “The Speakies”.

Pan Macmillan has received four nominations in the Audiobook of the Year categories at the inaugural British Books Awards “The Speakies”.
The awards were created to shine a spotlight on the growing world of audio and to celebrate the talented people behind the work. The team behind the awards, who also run The British Book Awards and The Stage Debut Awards, want to put more audio in front of more consumers and acknowledge everyone involved.
The following books have been shortlisted:
- Am I Having Fun Now? by Suzi Ruffell (Bluebird) - Business and Self Help
- Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab (Tor) - Science Fiction and Fantasy
- Careless People by Sarah Wynn-Williams (Macmillan) - Non-Fiction Memoir
- Hamza’s Wild World by Hamza Yassin (Macmillan Children’s Books) - Children’s
The winners will be announced at a special ceremony on Monday, November 24th, 2025, at the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre. The evening will be hosted by actress and audiobook narrator Sally Phillips, known for her roles in Bridget Jones’s Diary. The panel of judges includes a fantastic group of actors, authors, and broadcasters, such as Laura Aikman, Michelle Elman, Abir Mukherjee, Pearl Mackie, and Hannah Witton, as well as prominent audiobook critics and radio producers.
