Macro analyst Raoul Pal and Harriman House announce "human originated, AI-facilitated" book The Everything Code
In a trade publishing first, The Everything Code leverages a secure, proprietary AI application grounded exclusively on Raoul Pal’s extensive personal archive to bring his economic insights to a global audience.

Harriman House, a business and finance imprint of Pan Macmillan, today announces the acquisition of a new "human-originated, AI-facilitated" book, The Everything Code, by renowned macro analyst and entrepreneur, Raoul Pal.
Nick Fletcher, Commissioning Editor, and Sally Tickner, Head of Business Development and Partnerships, acquired rights to The Everything Code directly from the author. The Everything Code looks at past, present and future to make sense of the world’s economic systems and reveals how the reader can make these systems work for their own financial gain. In the book Pal uncovers the hidden patterns behind global economies and personal wealth, and how riding the currents of the former can allow us to build the latter.
‘The safeguards, the human oversight and our open approach to communication about the book all follow our published AI principles.’
— Sara Lloyd, Global AI Lead, Pan Macmillan
Faced with the constraint of a demanding schedule and as an entrepreneur looking to innovate, Pal was looking for a publisher to support him in a different way. To bring his market insights to a wider audience while they remain relevant, Harriman House partnered with sister company CHAPTR to develop a proprietary, secure AI application, Weave.
The tool was grounded strictly on Pal’s own extensive historical body of work and unique IP, speeches, and analytical frameworks. This ensures that no other authors’ works were used during the generation. Harriman House and CHAPTR also employed deep research fact-checking tasks for verification with additional human review to help protectPal’s unique creative authority. The final narrative underwent the same rigorous, high-level shaping, structuring, and meticulous human editing as any title published by Harriman House, with expert editorial oversight at every stage.
Raoul Pal commented:
'The process of creating the book with Harriman House, Pan Macmillan’s AI team and CHAPTR has been a game-changer for me. I would never have the time to write this book as I'm juggling four roles, but I really wanted to do it. The efficiency of writing, editing, and structuring the book from my large body of already published content is truly remarkable...and I think we changed a small piece of publishing along the way.'

Myles Hunt, Harriman House, added:
'We’ve wanted to bring Raoul’s macro expertise to Harriman House for close to a decade, but given his schedule juggling multiple global roles, writing a book from scratch would have delayed his market analysis until it was no longer as timely. Because he already produces an immense body of work, technology gave us a smart alternative. Embracing this new technology as a collaborative tool changed everything. Raoul’s established followers will find his vast body of work brought together in one cohesive narrative for the first time, while anyone new to his work gets an accessible roadmap to his lifetime of economic analysis.'
Sara Lloyd, Global AI Lead, Pan Macmillan added:
'Raoul came to us with a question rather than a manuscript: how to get decades of his thinking and writing into readers' hands while it still counted. Helping an author answer that question is exactly what a publisher does. Thanks to our brilliant colleagues at CHAPTR we were able to build a tool trained on nothing but Raoul's own writing and put it in the hands of Raoul and his editor, who shaped every page between them. The ideas and the voice are entirely his. The safeguards, the human oversight and our open approach to communication about the book all follow our published AI principles. We're proud of the book, happy to have been able to make this dream collaboration between author, publisher and technology possible - and glad to be open about how it came about.'
