We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and pro-active publicist to join Pan Macmillan's Fiction Communications team.

Pan Macmillan is one of the largest general book publishers in the UK, home to a range of novelists as diverse as Emma Donoghue, Jessie Burton, Kate Morton and Alan Hollinghurst. As Publicity Manager you will be planning and delivering creative, effective campaigns to raise the profile and drive the sales of a varied selection of authors across the Picador, Mantle, Macmillan and Pan lists. You will contribute to the development of the trade and consumer profile of the Picador imprint, working closely with the Communications Director (Fiction, Literature and Partnerships). You will have a good track record of organising sales-driving and profile-raising events across retailers, festivals and other partners within budget. You will have broad reading tastes, a wide knowledge of literary fiction and a clear sense of the current marketplace. You will have a wide range of contacts and relationships across the book world, including journalists, bloggers and retailers.

The position is based at our offices in King’s Cross, London.
