Amitava Kumar

Amitava Kumar is the author of several works of nonfiction and three novels. His novel Immigrant, Montana was on the list of most “notable books of the year” at the New York Times and the New Yorker. His writing has appeared in Granta, New Statesman, Guardian, Harper’s, New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and numerous other publications. He has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship and other honors, including residencies at Yaddo, MacDowell, and the Bellagio Center. Kumar teaches at Vassar College in upstate New York.
