Clare Vacha

Clare Vacha is an Australian illustrator living in Surrey, UK with her husband and son. Clare works digitally and loves creating bright, happy illustrations she hopes will make people smile. Her favourite part is creating characters (especially small fuzzy creatures) that are getting up to some sort of mischief! Joy is her debut author-illustrated picture book, inspired by the wonderful chaos of life with a little one.

In her spare time she loves travelling, hiking, cooking and visiting little cafes with great coffee! One of her favourite places to travel is Japan – the cafe in Joy is based on her favourite coffee shop in Tokyo, where she also spent a year teaching English after university.
