Pan Macmillan launches free Virtual Careers Insight Programme to demystify publishing industry

The new programme offers a comprehensive behind-the-scenes experience that takes participants on a journey through the lifecycle of a book, from the initial spark of an author’s idea to the logistics of reaching readers around the world.

Crucially, this fully remote programme requires no CV or application process. It is open for registration to everyone, whether they are a student, a career changer, or simply curious about the inner workings of a major publishing house.

The programme highlights the diverse range of talent the publishing industry needs. Interactive course modules led by expert colleagues from across Pan Macmillan explore a wide range of departments and roles within the publishing cycle, including marketing, design, digital communications, audio, finance, logistics, and people and culture.
