An Indian Manifesto
Synopsis
An ambitious vision for a better India
India gained independence in 1947 and became a sovereign republic in 1950. When the British left us in 1947, they left us unified, as opposed to the many kingdoms and rulers that existed here. In addition to atrocities and unfair practices, the British colonial era also brought to India education, laws, railways, Victorian architecture and other infrastructure, and, perhaps most notably, the English language.
As we continue to grapple with the issues that were caused by the draining of our natural resources by colonial powers, it may be a worthwhile endeavour to envision what all-round development might look like in the context of today’s India. We must look ahead and see what more can be done to improve the lived reality of its citizens today and in the times to come.
An Indian Manifesto is a young entrepreneur’s roadmap to achieving this collective dream.
