Pan Macmillan named as a finalist in the 2026 Inspiring Workplaces Awards
Pan Macmillan has been shortlisted for the 2026 UK & Ireland Inspiring Workplaces Awards, recognising our ongoing commitment to creating a culture rooted in our core values of community, curiosity and integrity.

Pan Macmillan is thrilled to have been shortlisted alongside a diverse cross-section of exceptional organisations, including Aldi UK, COS and Lloyds Banking Group.
The awards honour workplaces that put their people first and empower individuals to thrive. To be named a finalist, organisations must demonstrate an unwavering commitment to building cultures rooted in trust, inclusion, wellbeing and a meaningful employee experience, showcasing real impact rather than just policies.
Entrants are judged by an independent panel of experts based on six fundamental elements: culture and purpose, leadership, wellbeing, inclusion and belonging, employee voice, and employee experience.

Matt Manners, founder of The Inspiring Workplaces Group, commented: 'Over the past decade and more, we have seen extraordinary organisations step forward to prove that putting PeopleFirst is not a soft choice, it is a strategic one. In a world facing increasing economic uncertainty, technological disruption and difficult political challenges, the need for strong, PeopleFirst leadership has never been greater'.
He added that the 2026 finalists represent the very best of what these cultures can achieve: 'They are demonstrating that when organisations prioritise trust, inclusion, wellbeing and purpose, they don’t just support their people, they strengthen performance, resilience and long-term impact. That is the future of work, and it’s inspiring to see it in action'.
The official Top 50 Inspiring Workplaces, along with individual category winners, will be announced at a Gala Dinner at the Troxy in London on 21 May 2026.
Our values
Community
Our strength lies in our people and the vibrant, supportive community they create. We embrace the work necessary to build an inclusive environment, in which people from all backgrounds can succeed. This sense of togetherness extends beyond our walls, and is reflected in the breadth and diversity of the books we publish and the work we do to make a difference to the communities around us.
Curiosity
Curiosity is at the heart of our shared interest in new ideas and creativity, our love for learning and our readiness to embrace different perspectives. It’s what drives us to explore new technologies and innovations. Our curiosity goes beyond the pages of our books – it’s about building a deeper understanding of the world that will help us to grow and thrive.
Integrity
We are open, honest and take responsibility for our actions, especially when things don’t go to plan. Together, we celebrate our successes and learn from our mistakes. This is how we build trust with one another and with the authors and illustrators we serve. We aspire to offer readers and listeners a wide range of voices, creating opportunities for many different stories to be told.
