Prisoner in the Castle

'Thrilling time travel adventure' The Guardian

The mystery of The Man in the Iron Mask meets time travel as Sim and his friends attempt to pull of a thrilling heist in Normandy in 1067 in the castle of William the Conqueror in the fifth epic Time Keys adventure by multi award-winner M. G. Leonard. Illustrated throughout by Manuel Šumberac.

In 1067, armed soldiers guard a masked prisoner day and night in the keep of Caen Castle in Normandy. Nobody knows his name. Nobody has seen his face. Sim, Jeopardy and Nelson assemble a crew of renegades to attempt an impossible rescue through time, but when William of Normandy suddenly returns with his army close behind, Sim and his friends must act fast, risk everything, or lose the chance to free the prisoner forever.

Prisoner in the Castle can be read as a stand-alone novel, or enjoyed as part of the thrilling Time Keys series by M. G. Leonard. Follow Sim, Jeopardy and Nelson's adventures in Ancient Egypt, Hunt for the Golden Scarab, Viking Norway in The Legend of Viking Thunder, Ancient Rome in The Impossible Gladiator and Tudor England in Attack of the Sea Dogs. All titles support the key stage 2 curriculum.
