Hanya Yanagihara's powerful novel,  A Little Life, has been shortlisted for the Bailey's Women Prize for Fiction 2016.

The 2016 Chair of Judges Margaret Mountford said of this year’s shortlist: “Our choices reflect a really diverse mix of brilliant writing from new and established authors around the world and we hope that everyone will find much to enjoy in them.”

The winner will be announced on Wednesday 8th June.
